I have been on LinkedIn since 5–6 years but I never understood it until the last month. So I went to LinkedIn with the hope of finding a new job last month when my notice period was coming close.

I started applying to the posts that matched my job requirement and I discovered about this feature called the LinkedIn Newsletter. I wrote articles on schooling and education. It doesn’t take much time to post the article once its ready, so here are the steps I follow before posting.

  • Write the article
  • Check it on Grammerly
  • Create the Cover image on Canva size (1280 *720)
  • Create the Headline and check it on a headline analyzer (I use Monster Insights)
  • Create a short summary to the article and use appropriate hashtags
  • Publish the article
  • Share it on Twitter and Facebook
  • Share it on Groups that you follow on Linked In
  • Engage with people on Linked In

I follow these steps every time I post an article. I have posted around 14 articles so far. I write a lot on online education, best practices in education for teachers, parents and Schools.

I am happy that I have 100 Subscribers now, also it is completely organic. The best thing is that the subscribers are not some random people but people from the field of education and that makes more sense because I can have conversations on related topics.

Following and connecting with people of your field is really important otherwise you are in a land where you don’t recognize any topic and you are unable to engage and hence foster connections.

My network on LinkedIn is growing every day and each day I am meeting people related to education. I have 186 connections as of now with 211 followers.

To be able to write articles in LinkedIn you are required to keep the feature Creative mode on. You can write a daily, bi- weekly or monthly newsletter. Your subscribers will be informed of your article when it is posted.

My target is to make 500 + connections, have more and more people subscribe to my newsletter. This will help me grow and establish myself as an Education expert and influencer.

This is my newsletter:

My Newsletters are focused on topics related to education, transforming education, Online education, Teaching, and the change makers in education.
